We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging person to deliver our online social activity group (usually quizzes/conversation) to older people with mild to moderate mental health needs, those who may be isolated or who have lost confidence. The volunteer will spend time researching and preparing the weekly activity in conjunction with the service users and at an appropriate level for their age and then leading the group online. This could include organising and host guest speakers.

What skills do I need?

You will have a great personality, good people skills that can shine through the screen and the confidence to manage and lead the group, interact appropriately, steer the conversation, and keep the group engaged. Being non-judgemental and empathetic Technical skills required or willingness to learn to facilitate the group online, via Zoom. Interest in, experience or understanding of the mental health needs of older people Reliability to deliver the group on an ongoing basis

Availability Details

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
